Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill awarded top 20 Award 2021
We are delighted to announce that Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill is now accredited as one of the top 20 nurseries in the North East. The recent award comes from reviews, sent into the day nurseries website, from our parents and carers. These reviews have been so good we currently are ranked a perfect 10!

About the Awards
NMT Nursery Awards 2020 is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today, the leading business publication in the nursery sector and sponsored by key companies providing services in the sector. The Awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare and celebrate the very best people in the Nursery Sector. There were 16 categories to enter overall and there were four or five finalists in each category. All finalists will be reviewed by 2 independent judges for each category. Tynemouth Nursery at North Shields moves to Billy Mill
We are Moving!
Tynemouth Nursery at North Shields has moved 0.4miles to our Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill site at 142-144 Queen Alexandra Road West. The setting has recently been fully re-furbished to happily accommodate the 2 settings.

This was following the news that the QA Sixth Form College at Hawkeys Lane will be relocated at Tyne Met College, Wallsend this Summer.
This means the site, that Tynemouth Nursery at North Shields occupied, will not be maintained and will be cleared over the next 12 months. Due to this decision we have decided to amalgamate the North Shields nursery with Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill and not re-open North Shields on Monday the 29th of June as previously planned.
This did come as a big shock and there have been a few tears shed by many of us, as this nursery was a fantastic setting.
However, the amalgamation of Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill has seen staff, parents and children merge into a lovely setting that is only 0.4miles from the North Shields former site.
We have exciting plans for the new amalgamated nursery including incorporating a forest nursery school with our accredited forest schoolteacher.
We would like to thank all the parents and staff who have helped make this transition as smooth as possible.
