Job Type: 35 hours, Temporary

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Schedule: 7 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Tynemouth Nursery Group are looking for a temporary full-time nursey cook to join our friendly staff team at our Jesmond Nursery. This role is maternity cover, working Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm, (excludes Public & Bank Holidays). There is a possibility of a permanent role at a later date. 

A Level 2 or 3 Food & Hygiene qualification and experience of working in a nursery or school kitchen is paramount.

You will have a good understanding of the importance of hygiene, cleanliness and dietary requirements – including preparing and cooking nutritious meals, taking into account special dietary needs, food intolerances, allergies, cultural, vegan and vegetarian requirements, and can follow health and safety procedures. As well as cooking for under 5 years olds you can prepare nutritious food for weening babies too.

You will have support from our Catering Supervisor, but excellent time management and budgeting is required for your own kitchen.
