Tynemouth Nursery Group and Zone4kids are delighted to announce the appointment of our very own music and language teacher. Naomi will operate at all our settings and we are excited to be the first Nursery Group in the area to recruit a teacher specifically for languages and music. As well as recruiting Naomi, TNG have invested in around £5,000 of extra equipment such as electric pianos, percussion instruments and language resources to make sure we can offer the very best start in life to all our cherished children over and above what is normally expected. Rob Kilsby, Managing Director said, “We knew that recruiting a teacher soley for music and languages would be a difficult task but we would not be deterred. I am delighted that we found Naomi who has an amazing passion and enthusiasm for what she does. She has described the new post at TNG as her dream job and we are delighted to have her on board. The children absoulutely love her and her sessions and we know this appointment is a winner for everyone!”
We are delighted to announce that TNG were winners at the 19th National NMT Nursery Awards. Finalists in 2 categories was an amazing achievement and our very own Area Manager won the award for best ‘Nursery Operations Manager’. Michelle after winning the award said , ” It is a great honour to win this award, the whole team at Tynemouth Nursery Group and Zone4kids, from the Directors to the apprentices, have all played their part in making this possible and I have to thank them all for their contribution and enthusiasm in making our nurseries a vibrant and stimulating environment to work in.”
Winners were presented with their trophies by host Shaun Williams at the high-profile Gala Night held on Saturday, 20th November 2021 at the Hilton London Metropole attended by almost 800 guests.
We have been been made finalists two times in the national 2021 Nursery Management Today Awards! Tynemouth Nursery Group has been shortlisted for the best Nursery Group (Under 10 settings) and Michelle Gascoigne, our Area Manager, is a finalist for the top Nursery Operations/Area Manager of the Year.
A big congratulations to all the nurseries and Michelle and a big thank you to all employees who’s support and teamwork have all paid their part in getting TNG and Michelle into these finals. We are the only nursery in the north east short listed, in these categories, so this is a massive achievement!

NMT Nursery Awards 2020 is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today, the leading business publication in the nursery sector and sponsored by key companies providing services in the sector. The Awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare and celebrate the very best people in the Nursery Sector.
